If he/she is a good friend, then yes you should go. Just nurse that $1 drink all night. Don\’t forget about tipping. Probably better to have some guy buy you the drink

i was thinking the other day, how realistic is it not to drink at all, cause in 10 years, in the business world, you go out with your boss to have a drink and go over reports and models and whatnot. personally, i dont ever feel like getting wasted, but i dont have anything against alcohol itself. im going to a warriors game on hte 27th (for my 21st bday, and of course youre invited, let me know if youre availible) and im going to buy a beer just cause i can. but ill buy it for the guy behind me in line, cause i dont feel like dirnking it. heh heh heh
yeah that\’s the big problem. there\’s this social belief that you should have a drink because it shows that you trust other people.
you could order an O\’Douls (non-alcoholic beer). or a root beer!!
non-alcoholic beer tastes horrible.
oh. i\’ve never had it. but root beer is pretty good. (but i heard that french people generally don\’t like it – they think it tastes like medicine).
