I learned:<\/p>\n

  • Koreans really believed that blood type determines personality<\/li>\n
  • Everyone (the Koreans) think I act like a type O<\/li>\n
  • I am type O<\/li>\n
  • Moto<\/a> is worth every penny for the first (and last) novel experience of food<\/li>\n
  • even if it’s over $100<\/li>\n
  • the sweet dishes are the best at Moto as well as the greek salad again (as I described it to a friend, it was the most complex dish I ever tasted\u00e2\u20ac\u201dyou first taste the liquid of greens and oils, a hint of cheese, and then it hits you in the back of the palate, an aroma undescrible, stinging, but not quite; it lasts for a few seconds this intense moment and it recedes as if you ate an entire greek salad<\/i><\/li>\n
  • Wicker Park is in the shape of a triangle<\/li>\n
  • a Chicago hot dog has tomatoes and relish that’s dyed green<\/li>\n
  • the CTA (Chicago’s subway) does not sell 3-day transit passes at every station like New York City<\/li>\n
  • CTA station agents don’t know what they’re talking about when I ask them where they sell such passes<\/li>\n
  • the currency exchange that sells passes is not at 875 clark<\/li>\n
  • in fact, that currency exchange only sells 7 day passes<\/li>\n
  • the Chicago Stock Exchange room was carefully disassembled from its original location and reassembled in the Art Institute<\/li>\n
  • Joe’s cats like to sleep in his bedroom<\/li>\n
  • they wake up Joe up at 6 am every morning<\/li>\n
  • if the bedroom’s doors are open, they will whine and scratch at the door<\/li>\n
  • cats scratch the scratchpost when they’re happy (I think)<\/li>\n
  • forgetting my powerbook’s power adapter wasn’t the worst thing<\/li>\n
  • and it wasn’t that bad carrying a dead aluminum 12 inch brick around<\/li>\n
  • I will always love how Elena is happy to drive<\/li>\n
  • when you take cold medicine, you should eat before<\/li>\n
  • this is the worst cold I have ever had<\/li>\n
  • Jen hasn’t changed from Pittsburgh; she will oversleep many things<\/li>\n
  • like 826 Valencia, there’s also a 826 chi-town, specifically 826 milwaukee<\/li>\n
  • I’ll have to say the Chicago one is so much more AWESOME-ER<\/li>\n
  • reminder to self, bring walking shoes when traveling<\/li>\n
  • I will feel proud of myself when I don’t spend $100+ on a pair of Brazilian made shoes<\/li>\n
  • don’t dip your feet into the streams of Millennium park; you’ll never know whose feet has been in there<\/li>\n
  • restaurant service is so much better in Chicago than San Francisco<\/li>\n
  • Elena’s fabulous 44th floor studio apartment near millennium park overlooking the river is only $1200\/month<\/li>\n
  • and Joe’s place is about the same…for 3 bedrooms!!!<\/li>\n
  • I pay about the same for a room in a 2 bedroom apartment with no parking<\/li>\n
  • sorry Naperville reminds me of Walnut Creek<\/li>\n
  • there exists an Ikea of Hunting<\/li>\n
  • my relatives’ store that sell baseball cards<\/a> is still doing well over more than 10 years in business<\/li>\n
  • I can entertain myself quite easily if I am left alone to my own devices in a large city (especially with an unlimited ride card)<\/li>\n
  • I still love Dozens in Pittsburgh more than any cupcakery that I went to in Chicago<\/li>\n
  • Pear Merlot at Cupcakes<\/a> almost takes the cake<\/li>\n
  • the Threadless Retail store<\/a> is really small and carries about 20 designs; 6 of which are not on the website<\/li>\n
  • it’s only 2 blocks away from Cupcakes<\/li>\n
  • fruishi at Orange<\/a> is really not worth it; they serve green eggs and ham<\/li>\n
  • the mca really takes about 20 minutes to go through<\/li>\n
  • the gift store is pretty good<\/li>\n
  • even though I listened to Korean all weekend long, I still don’t remember a single word<\/li>\n
  • I love sitting in luxury cars<\/li>\n
  • the blue line takes forever to go to O’Hare<\/li>\n
