Typically, I spend the entire weekend with my partner in crime, but this weekend, the partner was off attending to “matters of importance”.<\/p>\n

So in effect, I did the following to keep the mind nimble, the fingers quick, the consciousness occupied, and worries sedated:<\/p>\n

  • participated in planning a reunion\u00e2\u20ac\u201dalmost five months in advance<\/li>\n
  • picked up animal crossing doll<\/a><\/li>\n
  • eat froyo<\/li>\n
  • failed attempt to visit California Academy of Sciences<\/a> on opening day<\/li>\n
  • get lost going to Stern Grove<\/li>\n
  • dizzy frustrating getting lost trip on highway 1 and the 280<\/li>\n
  • picked up only<\/i> a small bag of dried apricots at the Alemany Farmer’s Market<\/li>\n
  • took parents to Hard Knox Cafe<\/a> to experience soul food<\/li>\n
  • visiting Dolores park for the (uninteresting) indie arts festival<\/li>\n
  • watching Circus Bella<\/a> push huge cylinders of water over (at first, i thought they were causing trouble and nearly went over to push the cylinders of water back up<\/li>\n
  • explored clothing and book stores<\/li>\n
  • went to the Greek Festival but decided that the fee wasn’t worth it<\/li>\n

    wandered in several home decor stores<\/li>\n

  • bought three nectarines, a strawberry basket and a head of lettuce<\/li>\n
  • finished writing persona-based scenarios<\/li>\n
  • replied to urgent emails<\/li>\n
  • ate pork and beans<\/li>\n
  • eat dim sum<\/li>\n
  • fix grandmother’s digital antenna and VHS player<\/li>\n
  • went to SF Comedy Day<\/li>\n
  • unimpressed with the lineup<\/li>\n
  • tea at Samovars!<\/li>\n
