{"id":3463,"date":"2011-05-18T23:42:18","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T06:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/of.jennism.com\/?p=3463"},"modified":"2011-05-18T23:42:18","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T06:42:18","slug":"things-i-learned-in-peru","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/of.jennism.com\/?p=3463","title":{"rendered":"Things I learned in Peru"},"content":{"rendered":"<li>I am psychic (I located my bike group within 7 minutes after being accidentally left behind)<\/li>\n<li>Going down stairs is still my enemy even though I conquered them&#8230;temporarily<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;worst bathroom in the world&#8221; isn&#8217;t really that bad&#8230;really<\/li>\n<li>The crazy-looking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/circia\/5691902919\/in\/set-72157626526320557\">bird<\/a> in the Amazon is called a hoatzin but pronounced as <i>watson<\/i><\/li>\n<li>If I go with the flow, everything usually will work out<\/li>\n<li>Travel insurance can come in handy in&#8230;South America<\/li>\n<li>The Lima airport is incredibly small!<\/li>\n<li>And the Cusco airport is even smaller!<\/li>\n<li>You can hike the Inca Trail with fake eyelashes and makeup\u00e2\u20ac\u201dI know, because I saw it<\/li>\n<li>You can climb Machu Picchu (probably not the classic Inca Trail) with high heels\u00e2\u20ac\u201dif you&#8217;re Brazilian<\/li>\n<li>Keep an eye on your passport.
