Of birthdays and similar celebrations, I have always hated the pain point…that appears at the very end.<\/p>\n

THE BILL<\/b><\/p>\n

It’s horribly awkward because of the following reasons:<\/p>\n

  • Someone has to take the lead to organize the splitting of the bill<\/li>\n
  • That someone also has to account for everyone chipping in to pay for the birthday person<\/li>\n
  • Some people are vegetarian, don’t drink, not hungry, sick, etc…they may or may not want to pull in a complete share<\/li>\n
  • Not everyone in the group is comfortably financially and money is something that drains away any joy<\/li>\n

    The aim of any of my events is that there is no financial awkwardness or fear. It’s purely meant to be a joyous celebration of an event\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthat people come because they wanted to. Not because they could afford it, but because they took the time to travel, etc.<\/p>\n
