Tomato face. I was reading Ann Landers today (yes I know how silly she is), but was reminded of my own high school trauma. Someone had responded to how a girl felt humilated after she fell and spilled food all over herself. Yet, I agree with Ann Landers\’ response. She just needs to laugh at herself.
It\’s interesting to note how embarrassing disasters may be averted by some sense of humor. As long as the classmates don\’t remember and tease her constantly, I don\’t see what\’s wrong in laughing at yourself.
I just don\’t like seriousness. I remember how in middle school how I was constantly made fun of…because I didn\’t wear normal clothes or had normal behavior. Constant torment may be a cause for transferring to another school, but not just one humiliating incident. College always proves high school people wrong…that people aren\’t always going to stay in cliques their entire life. Those who are happy in cliques may find college alienating and isolating. That\’s what they deserve anyway.
And I disagree with Orinda (how ironic that Orinda is really close to here), what..psychological counseling? I was the shyest student in high school. And look at what I have become. A blabbermouth monster. :) College solves nearly everything.
Le Outsider eh?
Jenn reads Ann Landers!
hehehehe, ann landers! :P
Yea, college sure beats high school. Most cliques don\’t usually get pass gr.12.
And laughing at thyself is fun! :D
Hehe I like reading Ann Landers! :P Actually, I was pretty sociable in high school.. but now in college, I am quite quiet.. so opposite for me :) I do agree with the humor bit though.. except I might have gotten a bit too cocky with it :P
