Hello. I am an irked, dissatisfied chick.

Apartments were competitive. I didn\’t realize how many people needed housing. i.e. people who wanted to move out of their place because a gunfight occured in their neighborhood a few days ago.

I attended my networking class at the local community college. Unfortunately, due to rush hour on the 24, I was late. Yet, class hadn\’t even started. Most of the class arrived fifteen minutes later. Then the adults in the class were being loud and obnoxious. So the instructor started lecturing. At first I had believed that he would teach us some good networking…stuff. But no, he kept cracking jokes. Laughing at himself. Ranting about nothing. Well, the most interesting part was when one student asked why he wasn\’t a technician if he got all that certification – \”Because I have AIDS, and I am too tired all the time to be a technician.\” Pity. But still, that\’s no excuse for his behavior. Perhaps, I get miffed easily, but I was very offended when the instructor suddenly said, \”Guys, it\’s dark out there! Make sure you walk the ladies to their cars.\” That made my blood boil. Why not walk everybody?!?! In Berkeley, the statistics show that guys get robbed/attacked more often than girls. How macho for them to walk by themselves. In CalSo, the counselors made a point of how it is important to always call 642-WALK, even if you\’re male. GRRRRRRR… Plus the fact that the instructor didn\’t know how to teach. I already said that didn\’t I? He was teaching us binary calculation, which I already knew. Then he was criticizing some students for using other methods. He was teaching the subtraction method…and secretly, I did it the division method. Then when a student corrected him when he said 176 instead of 175 as was written on the board, he went off on a long tangent about how he might be thinking of different things while doing another thing. In this case, selecting a student while declaring the number. Geez, just focus. Please.

There are many idiots in the class. I am not just talking about the middle-aged people. No offense to them.

Now I am wondering if I should drop. It\’s thirty-seven dollars for this class…that I doubt is refundable. I also paid $65 for the text. Yet, if I complete the course, I supposedly have 60% (as the instructor proclaimed – \”60% of my students pass the certification exam\”) chance of passing the certification test. Also, it would look nice on my resume. Yet as for learning something worthwhile…I don\’t know.
