So…I got the internship at Waintec! NOW I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO DURING THE SUMMER!
The interview last Friday for the internship got off to a bad start when they asked me for my previous employer background and a list of references. I wasn\’t prepared with that, because they didn\’t tell me to bring any information. I asked the interviewer if I could send the information to her later and she gave me a glance…and said no. I don\’t know if she understood me or not. So I had quickly filled in the application with information on my cell phone.
And another bad part was when the interviewer asked me if I was a resident or had a H-1 visa. Confused, because I always thought that the definition of a resident only applied to people who had lived in the country for awhile legally but were not citizens. So I told her that I was a US citizen. Apparently, she didn\’t get it and asked me the question again.
Otherwise, the interview went well (and I am still wondering if she understood the majority of what I said…or whether she was looking for only skill sets). The thing I am most afraid of: working with people who speak Cantonese…
*yippee!*
Cantonese PEOPLE! like mE!
>:O LUCKY. YOU HAVE A JOBBY. DOES IT PAYEE?
UNPAID.
