I am so tired.
Yesterday I went to see A Beautiful Mind and Mulholland Dr.. I was particularly impressed with both. Yet like one critic said…like how I would say \”I had the weirdest dream last night\”…I saw the weirdest movie last night–Mulholland Dr.
For the third week in a row (and thankfully, the last week that I would have to do it), I woke up early today to help Sri…again. Not that I minded, but I just didn\’t have enough hours of sleep this time around. Because I came back at 1 am (after seeing both movies — saw A Beautiful Mind wiht Tram and Christina at the UA theater downtown and Mulholland Dr. with Karen and her friends at Wheeler–I was almost contemplating not taking a shower), I didn\’t go to sleep until 2:30 am. Somehow this Saturday, I had a hard time with remembering the way to the Food Bank. We got lost on the way there. Although we didn\’t get lost finding lunch (how strange…we ended up at Togos in Alameda where I met up with Stacee…for a minute), we got lost coming back. Hecka lost. Somehow I couldn\’t figure out how to get back to the Port of Oakland from Oakland downtown. I was confused and as a result, I drove around Oakland for a good 45 minutes. We both gave a sheepish grin when we saw Mary, the director of the food bank. At the table, the girl working with us overheard us joking about how I had trouble with driving and how I couldn\’t determine whether a can was salvagable or not. \”I hope you guys aren\’t going to kill each other,\” she noted.
We laughed in response and I replied, \”Oh, we have just been around each other too much…today.\”
Food in the break area is good. :) Everyone should volunteer at the Alameda Food Bank…at least once.
After going to Safeway (yet again), I dropped off Sri at his place…reminding him that he owes me a lot. Yes, not only lunch. But dinner. Breakfast. Snacks. I am thinking of Chez Panisse. Thirty bucks an entree. Wait a minute, maybe I should make him buy me a mp3 player. Yes!
No there\’s no such thing as undying gratitude.
okay, so you did him alot, but a mp3 player?? nice thought, but i think making him buy a mp3 player for you might ruin the friendship =P
Hey now! It\’s called undying gratitude. ;) That is, guilt can make anybody do anything. i.e. buy me stuff. favors returned!
LOL!!! urm…make him slave for you big time…work hime hard…make him wash my car. and wax it. hrm..what else…tell him…buy doween a car, coz all she has are her little shoes. yes. a scooter would be nice toot toot. fanks sri. you are so kind.
