So my dad has bestowed on me the title of \”irresponsible\”.
I was standing obliviously on the passenger side of my car with Xing…discussing how to move my stuff from my apartment. Then a car was backing up and Xing exclaimed that the guy hit my car. Slow reaction? YES. I sort of trotted to the driver\’s side of the car and looked to see if there was any damage. Didn\’t see any. I looked at the car driving away…and glanced at the license plate for a second. Then I went to my apartment to move my stuff.
THEN I returned. I opened the door on the driver\’s side. It only opened a crack. I tugged on it and it refused to budge. TO MY HORROR, Xing pointed out a round dent near the door hinge. GRRRRR..
Then I went home and my dad gave me a lecture on responsibility. How if I paid for the car and insurance, I would have ran after the guy like a maniac. And I guess that\’s true because I would wring the neck of the first person that drops my digicam. BUT MY CAR. sobby.
In other news, I twisted my right ankle (again). I tripped three times near the back of my car.
u stu! if you got the plate number we could have gotten more money which could have bought me a car. $$ boo.
yikes… and it\’s true about the $$ thing. My brother paid for all my schoo books up until last year, and wow… what a real lesson that was.. I stopped simply buying every necessary book and learned how to utilize the library and borrowing from other people!
the biggest shock of my pay-for-it-myself/adult life also involved a car. who would have thought these piddly things could cost so much money?
too bad you didn\’t get his license plate number…. HIT AND RUN BASTARD!!!
:O yo lady.
yoooo lady. we fixed it!
I don\’t think it\’s necessarily…the responsibility. Because I do everything to save on textbooks too although I am not paying for them. I think it has to do more of the pride that you get when you buy something. Pride then equals posessiveness. THERE ARE REASONS WHY I SCREECH AT PEOPLE WHO HOLD MY DIGICAM INCORRECTLY!
just like me when I don\’t put the little string on my hand.
