Yesterday, my mom gave me the job of doing gate duty at the swimming pool next door. That is, because the swimming pool is a private club, every single member has to serve gate duty (sit at the front desk and make sure people sign in…and enforce the rules of the pool). Some had decided not to do their share and my mom was called as the substitute. I spent about 3 hours at the pool staring off into space…reading a GRE book (surprisingly, the GRE seems easy) and learning GRE words. Fun.

I got to my internship today and found that the ceiling had collapsed over one of my fellow interns. Something…a pipe probably…had finished leaking and started surging breaking the ceiling…and poured water all over two monitors, a keyboard and a mouse. Building damage. Other interns had observed that the ceiling was discolored from the first day we were there. Combined with our sporadic power blackouts (from having 15 computers with two monitors each, two routers, two printers, and a projector on two circuits)…how is this company going to survive?

In other news: since HE doesn\’t read it. I have succeeded in asking only questions for about 15 minutes (reminiscient of the question game that I played at the BLAH club). My attempts in annoying/irritating HIM failed. But we\’re still at bitter opposite ends. At least I know I am.

Hey, it\’s not you, Naim.
