I woke up at 8 am (after less than 5 hours of sleep…mind you, it was not because of my homework but because suddenly at 3 am I kept tossing and turning) by a wakeup call from my User Interfaces group.
I got ready to go in 5 minutes. AND THEN, I realized that I could not find my keys. Because time was ticking and I was supposed to be on the other side of campus in 10 minutes, I had to forfeit my desperate search. I had hoped that my roommate would be back to open the door so that I could continue my fruitless search. But to my surprise and shock, I got a voicemail message from my roommate two hours later…that she had also locked herself out.
I think my hair is very messy…now.
*gulp*
It\’s going to be a long day.
[edit] By luck, I was able to cut my long day short. I managed go through my service project without falling asleep. People who never used a computer before…have the most trouble with the mouse. HOW CAN YOU CLICK AND NOT MOVE THE MOUSE?! And magically, I was able to go through my only class of the day without falling asleep. I am sure the reason was because the lecture was about artificial intelligence in games. And I was very SHOCKED to not see Seth inhabiting the last row of the 300 person lecture hall. Then work. I saw my beloved resident climbing up the hill. I made sure to put on my sunglasses and cross to the other side of the street…and run before she noticed me. Then I called the evil manager lady to beg for forgiveness. She told me to contact the keymaster of the building. So 10 minutes later, I was standing outside the door pondering what to do when my roommate called and suggested a code. AHA. And magically, it worked and the keymaster let me in after checking the 16 year old picture on my license.
Oddly enough, once I walked into my \”room\”, I found the keys immediately.
