The only reason that I got an A in high school chemistry was because I read the teacher really well. That is, before she got cancer and had to be admitted to the hospital. Then somehow I couldn\’t read the substitute teacher that well. I got a B+ in Honors Algebra 2/Trig, because teachers in high school don\’t fail people who are at the bottom of the class.
Now, my mom\’s coworker evidently thinks I am smart for attending UC Berkeley. Thus, she is hiring me to tutor her daughter who supposedly was a good student, but suddenly got bad grades. A C in high school chemistry and a barely breaking B in her honors algebra class. When I talked to my mom\’s coworker on the phone, she asked me for what I expect as my hourly pay. I didn\’t want to say $10/hr as I did when I first tutored in high school when I found out my competitors asked for $15/hr. Inflation rate! So being very conservative, I said that people doing this kind of work usually are paid $15-$20/hr. So I am being paid $20/hr starting tomorrow at 10 am…and every day for the rest of winter break. I guess I\’ll be doing something productive…finally.
good job, but hopefully she doesnt read your blog and see how confident you are about this whole operation!
If she finds out and she fires you just threaten to revenge her by making my blog the #1 search result for her name. I\’ve done it before, it will happen again.
dammit I want a 20$ an hour job :( I will tutor the cute Japanese high school girlz, EXCEPT THERE AREN\’T ANY!
it\’s a 10 day job. it takes longer than 10 days to find my blog!
