You don\’t understand how it\’s like until you walked in somebody else\’s shoes.
Namely mine. Because there was yet another career fair today, I pulled on my business looking attire and my new dress shoes. The shoes that I got on sale from Sears a few months ago. The brand name is some generic company called I love comfort.
Ironically, my walk across campus was not. I had two classes that were both (normally) a 12 minute walk from my apartment. I left my apartment late and by the time I had walked one block, my feet were hurting. But I couldn\’t go back now, and so I scuffled across campus in these narrow, poorly-made shoes. By the time I finished my last class, my friend had noticed my strange gait. It looks like you\’re dying, she observed.
The career fair went well. Most of the company representatives were obviously recent graduates and seemed nervous about talking to fellow peers. I got back to my apartment, relieved of my shoes. Evidently, the shoes were horribly fit. To my surprise, the back of my shoes were covered with blood. Not to mention a few of my toes had burst BUBBLES. (Don\’t you just love the gore?) Just like how my first (new) pair of Adidas running shoes were like 2 years ago when I first wore them.
And so I just dare you to wear my shoes sometime…to know how it\’s like to live like a DRAMAH queen!
owie?!
Crazy girl.
