One of my greatest fears (to put it mildly) is just e-mailing a professor. I spend a lot of time double checking my e-mail to make sure it\’s error-free. I would address it so formally. Mostly because these are people who probably would rather be doing research than teaching a class just for tenure.

But then I was baffled by the type of e-mails people would send. Although I have got to admit, I e-mailed my philosophy GSI a few weeks ago basically to get information for my upcoming essay. She didn\’t tell me much, but I still got an A on an essay I thought I was sure to fail. Yeah, that\’s right!
