OMG, I skipped one entire day of blogging!!!! Haha. I don\’t expect that to be the last time that I do it.

You know, how sometimes you tell your life story and after telling it over and over again, the story has lost its initial intensity (aka juice)? My stories have. I need more dramatic incidents to happen to me.

So how often do you sit at your computer and stare at your aim list, silently begging for someone to im you, because if you im someone that would mean that you want to talk. *gasp* You can\’t let anybody know that you want to talk, because that would mean that you would have to keep iming and iming, becaues it would be rude to do so. Then..you remember you haven\’t updated your info for one whole day. And you\’re wondering how many people have checked your info to see the same old boring one over and over again. GASP.

And I thought ICQ had more things to worry about. Interesting story by a UCLA bruin.

Cliff and his floormate Karen trekked over to my apartment around 11:30 pm because he needed to type up his essay, because the power was out in the dorms too. :( They walked in the dark across campus…to reach my apartment where they were bathed in light. Because Cliff took up my computer, I spent those three hours on my bed studying basically everything. For once, I am on top of reading for EE and CS. Also, I am now slightly ahead for American Studies. Do I feel productive? Maybe…

Awwww…this is so sad!!! The entire Berkeley campus is out of power! Since 5 pm! That also includes the dorms. :( Well I envy the fact that they are \”forced\” to talk to each other. I am stuck in my apartment full of warm light and a roaring computer. :D

This week\’s Friday Five.

I know. Because the Berkeley servers are down from a blackout, I have nothing else to do, but wait until it\’s exactly midnight over there on the East Coast. :)

1. What makes you homesick?
The fact that I can sleep in my room without noisy alarm clocks going off intermittently.

2. Where is \”home\” for you? Is it where you are living now, or somewhere else (ie: Mom & Dad\’s house, particular state/city)?
Last year, my friend did a paper on the meaning of home. Being me, I said that I had no home. That I considered my home home and my dorm not as my home. Last year though, I didn\’t feel accepted at either place. Well it\’s all better now, I think. Home is in Lafayette, CA!

3. What makes it home for you? People? Things?
My lemon poster and my starry night poster. Well almost. And my computer is a must. And…my favorite people need to live close to me.

4. Where is the furthest you\’ve been from home, miles-wise?
7432 miles. When my entire family and I went to Sydney, Australia. The people there are just great!

5. What are your plans for this weekend?
Nothing as exciting as the previous weekends. I am planning to do my schoolwork. Blah. Do my CS hw, start on EE hw, and start on my CS project. Karen has asked me to bring two formal dresses from home, because she\’s planning to go to the ASUC ball next week. That makes me mope terribly. Dances in college are supposed to be only for freshmen who long for high school. Ew.

Bwahahahaha. The entire northside of the campus is out of power. It\’s bad news for the classes that are being held there since they now have to stand outside in the blistering wind or have class in near darkness (shame on Berkeley architects who decided to build classrooms like caves with fluorescent lights simulating a sad sick sun). It\’s good news for me. Well sort of. Because the Berkeley server is in the basement of Evans Hall and the CS servers are in Soda Hall, that means…I will most likely get an extension on my homework and project. :D Well, that\’s a hopeful wish of course.

But you\’ll never know. ;)

Blah, okay this is like my third entry in an hour.

Oh if only. I was moping about how alarm clocks are the bane of the world to one of my friends and I mentioned how my roommates seemed certain to moving out at the end of this semester, he asked if he could take their place. Note: he\’s gay. And I have no qualms about either gender living with me (after all I lived in a co-ed suite last year where certain people crashed into my room every second). And actually it would be really cool if my friend (and his roommate) lived in the same apartment. As for my parents…because they\’re ultimately paying for the rent…they probably would have some say. And my dad, being the usual old-fashioned father, would most likely put his foot down.

He has this Chinese saying that when translated means, Guys will take off your pants.

Oh and by the way, the last thing that my mom said to my sister before going to college was, \”No SEX!\”

So by going to college, I am supposed to get more diversified, right?
