I finally met Aaron today. After following him for five minutes (because I didn\’t want to be embarrassed by getting the wrong person but then my curiousity was killing me already) after MCB lecture, I finally jumped in front of him asking if he was Aaron…and if he was asian.

Edit: He also said that I looked \”chubby\” in the picture above. I don\’t know whether to take that as an insult or a compliment. Or just a plain blunt observation. I think it\’s time for a new layout.

Next target: that girl from EH.

Although my computer has died and despite my all-around mopiness, I still am doing the Friday Five! :D

1. What is your favorite time of year?
The fall. No summer. No winter. No spring. The fall.
Although I would have to say…my birthday. Hint hint.

2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season?
Because that\’s when everything seems to start anew. Not only is the weather getting cooler to the perfect temperature to be inside and outside…it\’s when I return to school to have a fresh start. Also, now that I am in college…it\’s the time that I get new roommates…meet new people…start bullying the incoming freshman. :D

3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why?
The extreme weather times. Although I had liked winter before, because my apartment is extremely lacking in its insulation…grrr… But first, it would have been summer when I am supposed to save energy.
But yet, I don\’t like midterm time if that counts as a time of the year. Final time…is okay.

4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons?
Never. Unless I was forced to make art when I was younger. Today Professor Presti read a poem by e.e. cummings about the coming of spring. That\’s about as much celebration I do time the season changes.

5. What\’s your favorite thing to do outside?
Because I basically live iin Soda Hall in the computer lab basement, just being outside would do. :) When I was younger, I liked…running outside in a pseudo chilly weather. But nowadays, I like people watching. Oh and eavesdropping. Oh and…stalking people. ;) You know who I am talking about.

Well, fortunately yesterday didn\’t turn out to be as horrible as I dreamt it to be. And I thought I couldn\’t live without a computer. But now, I can\’t even live without my cellphone…

The cgi for the SMS box over there—–>
is messed up, try this one or the sms on my icq if I have authorized you to do so. :)

*SOB* Compaq customer service people are so mean. :( I can\’t believe they made me pronouce each letter of my information-name, address…blah blah. GRRRR!!!

That\’s it, I am never going to buy anything from Compaq AGAIN!

OMG. So I decided that I wanted to give my computer a rest yesterday night. I pulled up the start menu and went to shut down. Then I turned off my monitor, but then I realized that the lights on my keyboard were still lit up. I waited a few more seconds…minutes. My computer didn\’t turn off. And I wanted to go to sleep instead of trying to troubleshoot why this gray box was being dumb again. I pressed the big button on the computer…but nothing happened. So I decided to pull the plug. Then I put it back in again and pressed the on button again. Silence. Death. My computer wouldn\’t turn on! No fans. No blinky lights. *SOB* I have three nights left until spring break…and I will be computer-less. I talked to one of my friends today and he said that there is a switch in the back that I should check…but blah…now here\’s a point that I want a new computer. I am good at troubleshooting software, but as for hardware…WAAAH!

My mom was about to bring the home computer here, but I stopped her. If I have to live with a computer without access to the Internet, then I might as well not have one at all. (By the way, I almost said…I might as well not live at all…that shows how much I have bonded with that plastic gray box.)

Sniffle! So the best way to reach me is on my cell phone and you people should know how. Especially since I don\’t have that much work for the rest of the week. What to do now! :(

And yes, I am writing this from the computer lab in Soda. :(

My heart, swimming
In the words the wind has borne
A voice, bouncing
On a tomorrow carried by clouds

A heart, trembling
On a mirror where the moon quivers
A star falls, spills
Gentle teardrops

Isn\’t it wonderful
If we could walk, holding hands
I\’d want to go
To your town, your house, into your arms

To your heart
I leave my body
Mixed into the night
I dream

The wind stops; your words
Are a kind illusion
The clouds break apart; tomorrow
Is a distant voice

A heart flowing
In a mirror where the moon has seeped in
A star wavers, spills
Tears you can\’t hide

That face
Touch it, just so
And dream a dream
That melts in the morning

The music is just that good. Suteki Da Ne (Isn\’t It Wonderful) is such a good song. And I finally found out what the words meant. I first saw the trailer in Fred\’s room (he is Cliff\’s floormate) and well was intrigued. A month later, I downloaded the trailer and all the other music videos that other people had made simply from the images from the game.

Whoops, I got obsessed again. I don\’t know how I got so involved with Final Fantasy even though I never played the game. I just have a lot of friends that do. :) And they\’re the ones who give me the look of disbelief when I tell them that I sold a PS2 on ebay…and made forty bucks. :D \”You could have used that to play Final Fantasy! Final Fantasy X!\” I have downloaded almost the entire FFX soundtrack, read the FFX storyline, got the screensaver, wallpaper…omg, what next.

Diet Coke. Remind me never to drink any diets sodas again. That\’s all they had left at the infosession because I got my drink last. They taste horrible. And no matter what they do to me, there is no way I am going to submit myself to a diet for the sake of looking better.

Hectic day today.

Woke up at 11 after yet another mysterious annoying \”wrong number\” phone call in the morning.

Talked to Naim.

Found some of my frozen Greek pizza and ate it.

Talked to Naim.

Worked on my one-pager for American Studies.

Talked to Naim.

Got dizzy.

Talked to Naim.

Let\’s throw some Herb in there too.

Talked to Naim.

Went to class. CS made me freak out with their low mean/median on the midterm. EE dulled me. American Studies made me anxious when Professor Moran forced me to speak in class – fortunately I was able to squeak out a sentence that sounded intelligent and thought-provoking. (Yeah right.)

Had the two-hour interview with Anh for her sociology class (who knew that talking about my family history/background could be so tedious and long?)

Talked to Naim.

Checked my CS midterm grade.

Talked to Naim.

Sighed happily.

Talked to Naim.

Went over to Unit 1 to work on EE with Cliff and Grace.

Took the wrong bus and ended up on University Avenue. I tried running to catch the Northside bus, but was late.

Walked back alone…in the lamplit dark. *gasp*

Found that everybody was getting a Naim c00kie, except me. :(

Oh no…I am awake late again. :p

Downloaded Winamp 3. Disappointed that they didn\’t add change-the-file-info in yet.

Got obsessed with the mp3 generator on my old Winamp. I have only 566 mp3s on this computer. :( But then look at how obsessed I was back then. I didn\’t organize my mp3s, but I actually counted them. Oh those late night adventures. :p
